The tour takes place on Seawall 83 at the foot of the cliff it protects, offering an exceptional view of the Normandy cliffs. Here, visitors can learn about the geological history of the cliff and the history of Ault on the shores of the English Channel: Neanderthals, the village and fishing port in the Middle Ages, the rise of seaside resorts in the 19th century, the 1953 reconstruction of the casino in the style of Auguste Perret, landslides, and the protection of the cliff in 1983 by a seawall and a concrete platform known as “la casquette.” Free
