The Picardy coastline lies on the great East-Atlantic flyway, used by millions of birds every year. While many of them migrate at night, some are at their most active in daylight, with a peak of activity in the morning.
From the top of the cliffs, between Bois de Cise and Bois de Rompval (Mers-les-Bains ? Ault), come and watch a veritable aerial ballet: small passerines such as the Pipit farlouse or the Bergeronnière printanière...

Weather and wind can have a major influence on the passage of birds. So your birdwatching session may last up to 5 hours, or be shorter, with the option of returning to your vehicle before noon.
And if the skies become calmer, we'll probably be able to admire the majestic silhouette of the Peregrine Falcon and extend the outing with a session of listening and recognizing birdsong in the nearby Cise wood.
