Gainsb?Art? It's a tribute to the music and lyrics of a French chanson legend: the man with the cabbage head? It's also a tribute to the man behind the icon, his sensitivity, his cracks, his immense talent. Gainsb'Art is a group created in 2012 around the artistic universe of the great Serge. The repertoire alternates between standards and lesser-known songs by the artist, with more contemporary arrangements ranging from jazz and reggae to rock, pop and electro. The show is punctuated by interviews with Gainsbourg, Birkin, Drucker and others.
Gainsbourg also had a passion for painting. Sadly, he destroyed most of his works. During the concert, painter Bertrand Civetta pays tribute to him by creating live portraits of Serge in pastel on a black background.
The set oscillates according to Gainsbourg?s musical experiences: from jazz songs such as Le poinçonneur des lilas to the reggae of Lola Rastaquouère, via variety with Bonnie and Clyde, Elisa or ballads such as La chanson de Prévert. This show is performed by 4 professional musicians based in the Hauts-de-France region: Jean-Philippe Ramette (Keyboards, Vocals), Guillaume Sergent (Guitar, Vocals), Olivier Jacqueline (Bass, Vocals), Laurent Binda (Drums, Vocals), all enhanced by talented painter Bertrand Civetta.
