The Jeune Ch?ur de l'Oise welcomes young people from all backgrounds, influences and cultures, united by a passion for choral singing. What they have in common is that they have all taken part in the Oise CHAM curriculum (Classe à Horaires Aménagés Musique, the equivalent of sport/study for singing). The aim is to practice singing as a group, and to develop their vocal skills. The choir is made up of 15 singers aged 14 to 17.
Since 2014, they have been on the road in France, and are now being invited to perform internationally. The atmosphere among them is harmonious, and they all demonstrate a thirst for learning that drives them to constantly seek greater musical momentum in their vocal expression. The work is technical, semantic and largely focused on the dramatization of performances.
Collaborations are numerous, notably with the Orchestre Philarmonique de l'Oise. Le ch?ur took part in La France a un incroyable talent on M6, reaching the semi-finals, and has over 2 million views on its web channel. France Inter, Télérama and France Musique have reported on the actions of the vocal ensemble, which has performed several times at the Zénith in Paris. In 2017, the singers won 1st Prize and the Prix Spécial du Jury at the Bellan International Competition.
A tour of the United States is in preparation. Choirmaster Valéry THUET has directed the choir since its creation, and is responsible for almost all vocal arrangements. The promise of a breathtaking evening.
